IS CBD LEGAL IN THE EU? PART 1 OF 4
The EU has no unifying policy on CBD oil and cannabis in general, so in order to assess the legality of CBD in Europe we must examine each member state. Even then, the laws are murky and vague. We’ve done our best to break it down for you below, but we always recommend doing further research and consulting with authorities before purchasing CBD oil in your country.
The first thing to know is that the EU does have a list of approved hemp strains with low THC content, and there are approximately 50 of these approved strains. As a whole, CBD is generally legal in Europe with the exception of Slovakia. The standard for CBD oil in Europe is less than .2% THC (which is actually stricter than US regulation). However, the specifics vary nation-by-nation.
